Charles Emerson

Emerson earned a BFA in painting from the USC, completed a year of graduate studies in painting at Boston University, the completed his MFA in Painting from Yale University, where he studied with Josef Albers, himself a renowned educator and color theorist. Emerson was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in painting, which took him to Venice, Italy. He was the Artist in Residence at La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art in California for four years, where he also taught. His art work is published in The Art of Drawing, by Bernard Chaet.
