Combined, these four sculptors represent over two hundred years of sculpture-making in the Puget sound area. This group has in common a core of study and expression of observed nature.


As students of sculpture they have absorbed and synthesized influences, images and practices from all over the world, and have made them part of our cultural fabric. As teachers, they influenced generations of younger artist. As practitioners of sculpture, they have produced scores of public sculptures, and they have been art-ambassadors from the Pacific Northwest to the rest of the country and the larger world.
